I just stumbled on a great little slide show that perfectly encapsulates in words and photos the palm oil scourge. It’s from a (successful) 2010 Greenpeace campaign to stop Nestle from using palm oil, apparently, in their Kit Kats. (Though Nestle has gotten its hand caught in the cookie jar since then by using recalcitrant palm oil suppliers.)
Please give it a watch. The slide show is on the lower left under the banner, “A Recipe for Forest Destruction.”
